Roll into town, step off the plane, shake off the where you came from dust.
Grab your camera, walk down the street, the sign says Nashville Tennessee… Jason Aldean #CrazyTown rmx

Was my mindset for my first visit to Nashville, TN. Tidal was hosting an EXCLUSIVE private pop up performance by Rascal Flatts and 100 of their closest fans. Subscribing to Tidal not only gives you the latest and greatest music on demand but also gives you that Exclusive Access to special concerts and meet & greet opportunities that you’ll get nowhere else.

TidalXRascalFlatts took me back to the old MTV Unplugged days. It’s a small intimate audience and the guys actually took time between the songs to talk with the fans. Even better after the show they opened up to the audience for a Q&A. It was a great show. Click here to see more.

After the show it’s time to eat! I was up early, hadn’t had breakfast and was ready to eat by the time we wrapped. So en route to the CMA Fest I asked someone about a local place to eat? They pointed me to Arnold’s.

Not that it wasn’t good, it’s just that I’m a picky eater and what they failed to mention was that Arnold’s has a specif menu for each day of the week. And I was just in the mood for something different. Anyway after filling up on Sweet tea and pecan pie I headed to the CMA Fest.

It was a great time. I even hit the fan fare at the convention center. Compared to what I’ve seen at NFL and NBA fan fest, and this being Nashville the home of country music I was under the impression that it was going to be a much bigger turn out than it was. Maybe I just went at the wrong time? Anyway I meet some really great people in Nashville and by this time I’d worked up an appetite and was told that Hattie B‘s was the place to B. Now hesitant because of my last interaction but that wasn’t necessary. Hattie B’s was the truth! The collard greens were amazing! I wasn’t ready for that Nashville staple HOT CHICKEN. I had heard about it and cautiously went with the mild. It was still a little hot. Right next door was GiGi’s Cupcake the original. (fun Fact) You can find GiGi herself in there is Nashville is home and where it al started for the Franchise.

It was now time to catch the sun set on the Cumberland River with downtown Nashville as the backdrop. I can’t wait to come back and see the city on a normal weekend. I will be returning. Thank you to all the locals I came across. You really extended that Southern Hospitality!
