83rd Academy Awards – Red on Red

The 83rd Annual Academy Awards, also know as the Oscars, was filled with beautifully designed gowns and suits. Of course there were those who wore the “traditional black” to the “elegant ivory” gowns but none of those stood out like one of my favorite colors red. Nothing says confident, sexy, and bold like a woman in a red dress and that is exactly what Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Sandra Bullock portrayed at this year’s Oscars. Anne Hathaway wore a strapless red vintage Valentino haute couture taffeta gown with a floral applique’ train dipped in Tiffany & Co. accessories. Jennifer Hudson wore an Atelier Versace Halter gown in a red-tinted tangerine color with a dramatic train accessorized with 165 carats Neil Lane Diamonds. Jennifer Lawrence kept it very elegant and chic in a fire engine-red Calvin Klein dress wearing Chopard earrings and bangle paired with Jimmy Choo sandals. Last but not least, Sandra Bullock showed up looking stunning in a strapless scarlet Vera Wang gown styled with a crimson clutch and Harry Winston earrings and bangle. On Hollywood’s biggest night, these four women are my top picks because they all know how to look classy with appropriate accessories and make-up but above all confidence to top off their glammed out look!… @MissRobinC
