The Miami Dolphins Salute 50 Years of Hip Hop

The Hard Rock Stadium home of the Miami Dolphins, is one of the few venues to provide a star studded halftime performance like no other sports franchise. As The Miami Dolphins took on the Buffalo Bills in the crucial last game of the season. The division title wasn’t the game wasn’t the only eventful performance going on.

Sunday nights half time show was a celebration of 50 Years of Hip Hop, and there was no better place to celebrate than in the 305. With a lineup of Miami Legends; Trina, Trick Daddy, Uncle Luke and Rick Ross backed up by DJ Sam Sneak and DJ Nasty on wheels. The Miami Legends showed up and showed out.

The power of music is underappreciated, as well as the power of fans to a sports team. The fans control the atmosphere and energy of the stadium. One way to get fans jumping out of their seats with energy is to provide the right music. During the last week of the NFL regular season, Miami Dolphins played the Buffalo Bills in an AFC East championship game, with the winner being named the 2nd seed in the AFC. Although it was a significant game for both teams, the half-time performance was show stopping. There are only a select few times where you can see so many Hip-Hop legends, and on Sunday Night, Hard Rock Stadium was most definitely rocking hard.

Although Miami lost the game, the city of Miami did not lose. Only a select few have the privilege of seeing both a great game and a great halftime performance. The Hip-Hop fans in attendance walked away with a unique experience of seeing so many Hip-Hop legends in celebration of 50 Years of Hip-Hop.
