Laser cut-outs have been around for a while, but have emerged as a fashion trend this year. This technique requires a lot of skill and the details are very interesting to look at – there are many different styles. This look comes in geometric and organic shapes, as well as floral designs. The cut-outs appear on clothing, bags, shoes and accessories. Alaia and Phillip Lim, just to name a few, are brands that have been using this technique for their SS 11′ collections. A few celebrities that have been seen wearing this trend include Rihanna, Selena Gomez and Blake Lively. This trend can easily be paired up with basics, to dress down, or with pumps for a dressier look.
