Born Saint Louis, Mo, March 11, 1993 as Brittney D. Joiner (aka) “BRITTNEY J” to Deborah Mitchell where Brittney began to play the piano at the young age of four years old. Brittney moved forward in entertainment with musical theatre and stage plays at the local community center and events in and around Clayton County School District.
Entering Wydown Middle School, Brittney started vocal classes administered and mastered by Grammy award winning opera singer and vocal coach Jermaine Smith . Jermaine still coach’s Brittney till this day. At 12 years old, Brittney began working with “Deez Beats Productions”, under Laudie and Gerald Hinton. Deez Beats , laid tracks on several songs that brought Brittney (then called BRI) out to the for front in St. Louis and surrounding areas. Her first video “Hop Scotch” hit you tube and sealed the fate of Brittney J’s future “I want to be a star” her mother remembers the day the words rolled off Brittney’s lips.
During the summer of 2009 Brittney began work with “The Bakery Productions”, under the leadership of “Dodie“. Together they made several songs with the star producers “Rick Da Ruler” and pop song writer, “Eclypse”. “Brain washed, Found it in You & Voo Doo Fire ” just to name a few.

August 29th , 2009 Brittney Joiner signed to Atlanta based : Global Network Promotions/Creative Talents Marketing & Management firm. Where her career shifted into fast forward .CEO, Leonard Willis assembled a team, in her home town to raise the bar. Leonard brought aboard Fyre Boy Entrainment marketing agent, Willie “BayD” Spratt to handle the ground team in St. Louis, while Creative Talents Marketing built a base under the brand “BRI”. Creative Talents Marketing, Immediately set in place a campaign to push BRI out in the music industry. As of October 2009 the name BRI was no more . After hitting the music mainstream and picking up awareness. several artist with the name BRI came out and attempted to piggy back off of the buzz generated for BRI. BRITTNEY J was formed and trade marked (TM) titling and authenticating BRITTNEY J as a professional entertainer, recording artist and Incorporated entity. However as her visibility became clearer and wider a west coast Brittney J attempted come out as well. Hands down “BRITTNEY J” belongs to the St. Louis 17 year old artist Brittney D. Joiner. BRITTNEY J now has a swift new song on Itunes entitled “Gravity of Love“. This song is played on several internet radio stations and is quickly raising awareness of this young star.

During the winter of 2009-2010 Brittney J began working on her book “Confessions of a Teenage Heart”, with the help of her grandfather, Rev. Dr. Richard C. Dickinson Sr., or as Brittney so lovingly called him, “Granddaddy”. Helping Brittney with her book was the last project her granddaddy worked on, before he passed of cancer, April 17th, 2010. The book includes stories of situations Brittney has personally dealt with and situations of her peers. Brittney speaks on topics from self-confidence, to suicide.

Brittney has held many offices in the NACYC from local president to the national president. Brittney now holds the office as the third National Vice President of the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs Inc.

In 2010 Brittney J , finished her first film role with Corner Film productions which will be released in 2011: “Casualties Of the State”. Brittney j has the role of Emma, the daughter of a general on board the naval vessel “NIMITZ” on her battle tour . Its an amazing role and accomplishment for this 17 year old, talented artist /song writer / actress/author and dancer. Brittney is building her career very quickly. Brittney’s released her single “MOOLAH CHIC”. in November 2010 a quirky cool video giving her fans the first true look of this emerging star.
