Aida Rodriguez Launches New Show “Say What You Mean”

Comedian, actress, and writer Aida Rodriguez (HBO Max’s Fighting Words, Legitimate Kid) has launched her highly anticipated new show, Say What You Mean, now available on YouTube and all major podcast platforms. Known for her fearless humor and raw, insightful commentary, Rodriguez brings her bold perspective to this new series, where she engages with a wide range of guests to explore the power of words, or the silence that follows when they’re left unsaid.

The show follows the success of Aida’s memoir, Legitimate Kid, released by HarperCollins, and her recent live special New York After Dark on Peacock, where she appeared alongside SNL’s Colin Jost and Michael Che.

Say What You Mean offers a candid space for Rodriguez and her guests, who range from actors and musicians to athletes and personalities, to reflect on pivotal moments when they wished they had spoken up but were held back by fear or uncertainty. Each episode dives into missed opportunities for honest expression in both personal and professional settings, creating a relatable and humorous journey for viewers.

Guests who attended the show’s launch party at Cabo Rojo in Los Angeles experienced the flavors of creative Puerto Rican cuisine with Latin Caribbean influences. Notable attendees included Tichina Arnold, Vanessa Gradick, Jeff Leach, London Hughes, Rasha Goel, Norm Nixon, Jr., Amberia Allen, Torrei Hart, Kwame, Philip Smiley, and more.

Rodriguez, excited to bring her unique comedic voice to this new platform, shared her vision for the show: “This is a space where people can finally say what needed to be said, without judgment. I’m excited for everyone to come along on this journey.”

Say What You Mean is available now. Be sure to tune in on all platforms where you watch or listen to your favorite podcasts for an honest and entertaining journey into the power of speaking your truth.
