Apple’s $3.5K Vision Pro Is Now Open for Pre-Orders

After a six-month wait, those eager to lay their hands on the Apple Vision Pro can finally place their orders. The device is now available for pre-order at a price of $3,499 USD, and shipping is scheduled to commence on February 2.

Unveiled as the world’s inaugural “spatial computer,” the Vision Pro made its debut at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2023. Apple introduced the headset as “the first operating system designed from the ground up for spatial computing.”

Since its initial announcement, Apple has diligently expanded the capabilities of the Vision Pro. Collaborating with both in-house and third-party developers, the company has worked towards creating an extensive library of apps tailored for the immersive headset.

When placing an order for the Vision Pro, users will be required to provide measurements to ensure a customized fit for the headband and the Light Seal, which secures the headset around their eyes. For individuals wearing glasses, Apple offers the option to incorporate “optical inserts,” including magnifying readers or a regular prescription, in collaboration with optical lens maker ZEISS.

The base model of the Vision Pro, priced at $3,699 USD, includes 256GB. Additionally, Apple is offering a 512GB version for $3,699 USD and a 1TB model for $3,899 USD. Each order includes the Vision Pro itself, a headband, and the battery pack, which, at present, remains attached to the device during use. The package also includes a charger, a Light Seal cover, and a protective case.
