Iconic rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony celebrates 30 years of pioneering Hip-Hop with a year-long anniversary event. They kicked off their 30th anniversary performing some of their greatest hits for the Las Vegas Raiders final home game Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Allegiant Stadium with a special guest performance by Lil Eazy-E. The group’s halftime appearance marked the start of their 30th year anniversary since the release of their debut single “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” June 24th 1994.
The Grammy Award-winning group, known for their melodic rap style and harmonious blend of Rap and R&B, is commemorating this landmark anniversary with a series of special events, releases, and community initiatives. Since their debut in the early ’90s, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have left an indelible mark on the music industry with hits like “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” “Foe tha Love of $,” “1st Of Tha Month” “East 1999” and the chart-topping “Tha Crossroads.” Their unique sound, which fuses rapid-fire rap delivery with smooth, harmonic choruses, has influenced countless artists and garnered a dedicated fan base worldwide.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was signed by late N.W.A rapper/businessman, Eazy-E in 1993. The group consists of 5 Cleveland, Ohio natives, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone, Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone. The group is known for their popular hits such as, Thuggish Ruggish Bone, 1st Of Tha Month, East 1999, Tha Crossroads, If I Could Teach The World, Paper Paper, Home, I Tried, and many more. The Grammy Award-winning group honored their late mentor Sunday by bringing out his son Lil Eazy-E to perform.
“That performance right there was one of a kind…nine minutes of pumped up energy going into 2024 celebrating Bone’s 30 year anniversary and kicking it with Cube tonight,” said Layzie Bone, one of the founding members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
“We’re humbled and grateful to have been a part of the music industry for three decades,” said Krayzie Bone. “This anniversary is not just about us; it’s about the fans and the community that have been with us since day one. We’re excited to celebrate with everyone and give back to the neighborhoods that shaped us.”
This appearance marks 27 years since they won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance for the hit single Tha Crossroads, which honored Eazy-E who had recently passed away. The late rapper and members of N.W.A will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 66th Grammy Awards, happening on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
