St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® is a place like no other, an international beacon of hope for children across the world. St. Jude continues to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, such as sickle cell disease. When St. Jude opened its doors in 1962, it was the first fully integrated children’s hospital in the south. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live.
“Celebrate St. Jude” brought the mission of St. Jude directly to supporters in New Orleans at the beautiful Hotel Saint Vincent during the much anticipated return of The ESSENCE Festival of Culture 2022. The private brunch was hosted by St. Jude National Ambassador, Khadeen Ellis, who is loved and adored for being a distinctive voice for millennial parenting through her sitcom, digital presence and podcast. Jacob Latimore (actor and pop-R&B vocalist), Vincent Herbert ( record producer, record executive, and founder of Streamline Records – an imprint of Interscope Record), and more joined the #CelebrateStJude festivities while encouraging others to join a life-saving mission to support research and treatment for children worldwide. St. Jude patient families shared their heart-felt triumphs, experiences and stories of hope alongside Ellis and Kera Wright (Chief Financial Officer of ALSAC).
