This past Saturday, Headliner Market Group (HMG), City of Miami Chairman Keon Hardemon, and the Southeast Overtown / Park West Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) hosted the growing 6th Annual Overtown Music & Arts Festival (OMAF). On July 13th, families and friends from the Overtown neighborhood and beyond gathered for a day of free live music and entertainment, local art and food and tons of interactive activities.
Drawing a diverse audience, the star-studded lineup of performers at the festival’s “Main Stage” including mambo sensation Tito Puente Jr.; American R&B group, Jagged Edge who serenaded the crowd with their hits “Let’s Get Married” and “Where The Party At,” ; Mario won over the ladies’ hearts with his popular songs “Let Me Love You”; and Ne-Yo closed the festival with his infectious dance moves and performed popular songs such as “Miss Independent” and “Closer”. Other artists who performed included Grammy-Award winning gospel artists, Yolanda Adams and Fred Hammond. Additional performers include Melanie Fiona, Chante Moore, Pleasure P and Tank.
