St. Louis CITY SC presented a special edition of the free CITY Block Party Concert headlined by STLMade musician and alt-R&B artist Jordan Ward. Fellow STLMade R&B artist Mai Lee also performed.
A free Watch Party followed, where Block Party attendees and CITY SC fans could watch CITY SC take on Inter Miami from the big screen on Lou Fusz Plaza. Tickets were not required to attend the CITY Block Party or Watch Party.
“Our CITY Block Parties became a pre-match vibe – the atmosphere was electric as people gathered together on the plaza to soak in all things matchday and enjoy local food, drink, and live music ahead of kickoff,” said St. Louis CITY SC’s Chief Experience Officer Matt Sebek. “We invited everyone to come to our CITY Block Party Kickoff Concert, led by St. Louis’ very own Jordan Ward and Mai Lee, and those who did not have tickets to the match could stay to watch CITY SC vs. Inter Miami on our plaza, where chants and cheers from inside CITYPARK echoed throughout our stadium campus.”
“I was so hyped to represent my hometown of St. Louis, and to perform and celebrate our boys in CITY Red. St. Louis proud!!!” said Jordan Ward.
Ward also led the match’s coin toss.
In addition to the concert, the CITY Block Party included local food and beverage vendors, fan giveaways, games, Purina Incredible Dog Challenge, and other activities.
