M3F Festival Phoenix Preview – March 7-8

With a return to Phoenix, this year’s M3F festival is looking to bring in a packed crowd with it’s diverse genre lineup. With Justice and LCD Soundsystem headlining, 2 acts that have not performed in the Phoenix area in years, the audience’s perfect weather weekend will be the best way to spend the weekend. Coming off the release of their Grammy award winning album Neverender, Justice is bringing their magical electronic sound with incredible visuals and lights. Additionally, LCD Soundsystem is bringing their unique electronic rock sounds having not played in the area for several years.
Groups to look out for this weekend include brother sister duo Frost Children, who have left an imprint on the hyperpop scene with their breakout songs Flatline and Coupe. Blending Lady Gaga with a 100 gecs and deadmau5 gives you Frost Children who are a can’t miss this weekend.
BADBADNOTGOOD is a modern day blend of electronic and jazz with a dash of funk mixed in. Working with artists such as Thundercat, Kendrick Lamar, and MF DOOM the Canadian group’s act is one that should be on everyone’s list of artists to catch.
Lastly, Phoenix native, Upsahl is bringing her punk/indie/pop/rock vibe to the festival. Having written for artists such as Dua Lipa, Reneé Rapp, and Demi Lovato, she brings her own spin on indie rockpop. Having seen her perform at a festival a few years ago in Atlanta, I can attest that Upsahl should be on everyone’s list of artists to see this weekend at M3F.
