Will The Real Brook Please Stand Up
people who ask for advice, are usually looking for an accomplice. so. i wont do that. i will just..blurb some shit, and you can comment freely. :o)
i dont like being followed, copied, imitated..any of that.
i do however like to have some kind of influence, i like being quoted with honorable mention, and i like being appreciated.
i believe in being inspired, seeing someone else do something dope, and making it my own. but what happens when someone replicates anything that you do that they think is “cool”..but its so blatant and obvious that it is no longer flattering, but annoying, and lightweight creepy.
im one of those “pretty” girls that bugs people by walking around rapping jay-z and jeezy all day, or quoting them on my blogs or myspace-thats just it tho..i quote them, i give them their acknowledgement. i dont just say their shit and act like i just made up a nursery rhyme. when did we stop rolling the credits?
is anything original anymore? when do we start admiring from afar, and stop jacking people in their face? and the first sign of guilt, is defense. but you and that person know, that they have some kind of freak ass obsession with wanting to say “i did it first”..while they quietly cut and paste your whole style, after you have clearly been there done that, got mad at it and dont want it no more. (jay-z).
im speaking of a specific person who im sure is reading this because they have now been inspired (by me no less) to get her own blogspot to demonstrate her own faux brilliance which im sure she picked up from some other poor girl she is pretending to dislike. and im almost positive by this time next week we will have the same followers because she will have gone thru my list of subscribers and commented on their pages and “clicked” to follow their blogs hoping they will receprocate, because she can do nothing on her own. i always encourage all my friends to get a blogspot, thats no big deal, but what happens when this is the tenth or eleventh time that they have done something after i have done it. what happens when confronted by me-they have even convinced themselves that this is coincidence? i almost want to jump off a bridge so you they will do that too.
now, i dont liken myself to some kind of superior person to say they want to be me, because i dont think that. i do however think that creativity is not their strong suit, and for whatever reason has not just made me their muse, but their carbon transfer. i just want it to stop, its annoying and dumb. and this blog will be the last piece of energy i feed this topic, cause this went on for the better part of 2008, i do hope they can start their new year on a fresher note, and possibly stop visiting my pages, and pretending that they are the happiest person in the world, when really, they are fighting the man in the mirror.
try yourself on for size.

What is your blog address?? At least you’ll have one new reader! I can sympathize with what you are talking about, been there many times. I hope the person in question reads this article.
Understood totally!! It makes me cringe when I see someone else copy what I do. I do it so effortlessly and they use their last bit of pride to even breach the tip of my ora. I tells ya…
