Last week RWBimini launched their new Bimini SuperFast Daycation Cruise out of Port Everglades Ft Lauderdale. Whether you’re looking to party with your friends or pamper yourself with a loved one, the Bimini SuperFast has the perfect accommodations to make for a great daycation getaway!
We boarded the ship pretty early so breakfast was out first stop! There are six restaurants to choose from on-board to guarantee to satisfy every taste pallet. We enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast at a spectacular ocean view table in the Ponce De Leon Restaurant. The food was great and the service was impressive!
There is so much to do on-board the ship it was hard to choose what to do next. We wondered to the top deck where was there was live entertainment with games and prizes. Although we did not participate in the festivities, it was hilarious to watch so we grabbed cocktails and lounged out on deck chairs to watch the show! The games director was engaging and his shenanigans had the crowed in hysterics! Our next stop was to the best part of the Bimini Superfast, the casino!
The ship is equipped with a variety of both live and electronic games to play while you sail! Win or lose you are sure to have a blast! The trip to the island is so fast, and there was so much to do on-board the ship, it seems as if in the blink of an eye we arrived to beautiful Bimini! We rushed off the boat and jumped on the shuttle and were quickly whisked off to paradise! A short shuttle trip took us to the most incredible beach where we were offered a variety of activities and excursions. The weather was perfect! And the beach was full of people kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling in the crystal clear water!
We rented golf carts to drive off the beach and into the city. The island is small but offers so much beauty we could have driven around all day and not had enough time to capture all of it. We were lucky enough to have Omberto (Relations Manager for RWBimini) on our voyage who most graciously gave us an amazing behind the scenes personal tour of the island. He shared with us the most spectacular spots to take pictures along the island! We got a tip from the locals and grabbed a bite to eat at CJ’s restaurant. The restaurant was not fancy and actually only had a few picnic benches on the back porch for seating, but the food, the view, and the people made for a memorable experience! We ordered a little of everything to share amongst the group. I have never tasted seafood so unbelievably fresh and delicious! We were exhausted by the time we got back to the boat.
The ship offers cabins equipped with showers, which proved to be the perfect amenity after a long day on the beach! After cleaning up we were ready to keep the party going and grabbed a casual dinner at the Sailfish Bistro. We enjoyed great food with good friends as we reflected on the great day we had during the journey back. The service on-board the ship was exceptional! When people love their jobs it makes a huge difference and anyone on board the RWBimini Superfast can appreciate the gracious and accommodating staff members! The beaches were breathtaking and the water was extraordinary! It is amazing to me that just two hours off the coast of Ft. Lauderdale/Miami is the hidden gem Bimini Island!
