Shaq delivered a comedic response to witnessing Draymond Green engage in a scuffle with Rudy Gobert less than two minutes into the Warriors-Timberwolves game, and it happened during the halftime segment of Inside The NBA. After dissecting the Clippers-Nuggets matchup, the spotlight turned to Shaq. The self-proclaimed “best musician in the NBA” took the opportunity to remix the show’s theme song (Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out”) to humorously reflect Green’s actions, presenting “Mama Said Choke You Out.”
As of now, the NBA has not announced any penalties for Green, who was ejected alongside teammate Klay Thompson and the Timberwolves’ Jaden McDaniels. On Get Up, Jay Williams expressed a belief that Green might face a suspension of at least ten games for his conduct. Following the incident, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr defended Green, stating, “As far as the Draymond piece of it, Rudy had his hands on Klay’s neck. That’s why Draymond went after Rudy.”

However, this incident is just the latest in a series of entertaining moments from Shaq on the show. In the previous week, he dominated the Halloween costume contest among the four hosts. While Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson opted for safe pop culture choices as Top Gun’s Iceman and The Godfather’s Vito Corleone, respectively, Charles Barkley resurrected an iconic Kevin Durant insult by dressing as a bus driver. Yet, Shaq stole the show by arriving as “Emo Jimmy Butler,” a nod to a viral moment from the offseason. The attention to detail in his costume, from the 2000s-style wig to the fake nose and lip rings, made it a standout.
Despite not playing on Halloween night due to the Heat’s loss to the Bucks the day before, Butler’s costume stood out among the evening’s highlights. Giannis had set the tone post-Bucks victory by appearing at his press conference dressed as the Hulk. Another notable costume was from Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama, who, at 7’4″, perfectly embodied Slenderman during the team’s game against the Suns. This outfit even became a topic on Inside The NBA, with Barkley teasing Shaq for not being familiar with the Slenderman reference.
