Mystics Fall to Minnesota, But Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

The Washington Mystics, riding a two-game winning streak, narrowly missed out on victory against the Minnesota Lynx, falling 78-71. Napheesa Collier stood out for the Lynx, contributing 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Brittney Sykes led the Mystics with 13 points and 3 rebounds.

The second half marked a turning point for the Mystics, as the Lynx found their rhythm and surged ahead. Neither team managed to secure a double-digit lead, showcasing strong defensive efforts throughout the game. Ultimately, the Lynx emerged victorious, solidifying their position as the second seed in the regular season and leading the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Mystics finished the season in the tenth spot overall and sixth in the Eastern Conference.
