PRESENT AREYOUTHENEXT1? ATLANTA!!

Are You The Next 1 is a monthly live performance event that features some of the best new
and seasoned talent. We also serve as a platform for our guests to network with real industry
professionals. The event has been ongoing in Dallas Tx for the past 8 months and will be
coming to more cities soon!! Our first Atlanta event was held on April 30th at Apache Café
in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was hosted by V103’s DJ Kash and Jai with over 150 in
attendance. The night consisted of a live band, featured artists locally and nationally. The
artists were judged based on their originality, skill level, delivery and stage performance.

The guest judges panel consisted of: STEVE RAZE- VP of one of the biggest online urban
music outlets in the world ALLHIPHOP.COM , WILLY WILL -MUSIC PRODUCER
(Rihanna, LiL Wayne, R-Kelly), ZACK LEE – CHOREOGRAPHER (R.Kelly, Letoya
Luckett, Stomp The Yard the movie), BIG DINO- METRO BOYZ ENTERTAINMENT
(One of Atlantas premiere Event Promoters| King of Clubs), JROC -Slip N Slide DJ’s &
Ineedahitzradio.com, DAVID TOLLIVER- R&B RECORDING ARTIST, Men At Large.
Our Special invited guest for the evening was “Pops” from Ludacris’s DTP record label, who
is also the father of Chaka Zulu and Jeff co-founders of DTP.

The artist line up consisted of many talented artists such as: Young Butta, Jay Spitta, Exile

The Experience, Summer Azul, Young Miz, Texas Kidd, SUR ROD, Phillip Michael, a
featured band, R.A.M and 2 featured artists Mista Mal, Avery J.

“I really appreciated the fact the judges gave honest feedback, said Phillip Michael. I have
been to many open mics to perform, but this particular one was different, I left with a wealth
of knowledge and the opportunity to network with real people in the industry.”

I love the concept, Jai and Nextwun Entertainment have definitely created a great
movement”, says DJ Kash. After the artists performed, we conducted a Q&A session where
each judge introduced themselves and gave artist an opportunity to ask questions. At the
end of the night, the judges chose contestants Young Miz from Cleveland, Ohio as their first
choice, and Phillip Michael as their second choice. Dave Tolliver says, “Young Miz gave
us energy and he represented my home town, Cleveland, Ohio.” Celebrity Choregrapher,
Zach Lee “As a choregrapher, I look for appearance and stage presence, and out of all the
performers here tonight, I was most impressed with Young Miz. His swag was on point!”

Although the judges made their choices, every one walked out as a winner with knowledge,

confidence, and constructive feedback for improvement! Even the artists that didn’t make
the submission deadline but still came out had a chance to make some great connections and
learn more about the business. In additon , each contestant walked away with giveaways
from our Prize Sponsors. The next show will take place on June 18th at Apache Café in
midtown atlanta. Doors open at 9pm, and any artist looking to perform, please submit 2 MP3
