CheckN Holdings, Inc. (www.checkN.com), a groundbreaking social utility app redefining fan engagement for brands, celebrities, and venues, has strengthened its leadership team with two new board members and a key executive appointment.
Joining the board are:
- Rich Antoniello, former CEO and founder of Complex Media, who transformed the brand from a print publication into a global digital powerhouse, culminating in a $300M+ sale to Verizon and Hearst in 2016.
- Donald Remy, an accomplished sports, business, and government executive, known for his decade-long tenure as Chief Operating and Legal Officer at the NCAA. Remy will play a crucial role in expanding CheckN’s reach into collegiate and professional sports.
They join CheckN’s founders Derrick Brown and Ben Campbell, along with David Moore, former Global President of WPP Digital, to form a powerhouse board.
Additionally, Tobias Sherman, former WME executive and founder of gaming consultancy FOUNDRY IV, has been appointed President of Gaming. Based in Las Vegas, Sherman will spearhead CheckN’s strategy in gambling, fantasy sports, and video gaming, leveraging his extensive experience with major casino clients like MGM.
“I’m humbled to welcome these titans to the CheckN family,” said CEO Derrick Brown, likening the team to “assembling the Avengers.” Collectively, the leadership team has overseen over $5 billion in successful business exits.
The announcements come as CheckN prepares to close its Series-A funding round by January 2025, with plans for an official launch in February.
