The streaming service ALLBLK, operated by AMC Networks, has greenlit a new comedy special titled “Sitcho Ass Down,” featuring comedian Gary “G-Thang” Johnson. The special is set to be recorded at the El Portal theatre in Los Angeles on January 26 and is scheduled for an exclusive debut on the platform this spring.
Bentley Kyle Evans, known for his work as the showrunner of “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Martin,” and others, will be directing the hour-long special. This marks his first venture into the stand-up world. Evans will also serve as an executive producer alongside Johnson and Valarie Benning Thompson, known for her work on “My Name is Mo’Nique.”
