Cougars Dominate Behind Sharp & Harwell’s Big Night

Emanuel Sharp dropped 23 points and freshman Isiah Harwell added a career-high 20 as #7/8 Houston cruised to an 80–38 win over Jackson State at Fertitta Center. Sharp scored 19 in the first half, while Harwell set multiple career highs in minutes, field goals, threes, and rebounds.

The Cougars shot 48%, forced 25 turnovers for 30 points, and controlled every category — including bench points (40–11), paint points (24–4), and second-chance points (25–3).

The win marks Houston’s third straight, with Sharp posting his second consecutive 20+ point performance. Redshirt sophomore Jacob McFarland also made his collegiate debut after a long road back from injury.
