Country music and compassion took center stage at the Salute 2 Service Concert presented by The Troy Gentry Foundation on July 7th at the iconic Nashville Palace. Headlined by chart-topping artist and Centurion Boats ambassador Dustin Lynch, the sold-out acoustic show was more than just music — it was a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who serve our country.
Lynch delivered a stirring performance, blending his fan-favorite hits with stories of gratitude and resilience. He was joined by special guests Halfway to Hazard and award-winning songwriter Jeffrey Steele, whose soulful lyrics and raw emotion amplified the night’s purpose. Together, they created a moving atmosphere filled with patriotism, unity, and love.
But the true stars of the evening were the 10 local heroes — a mix of military veterans, first responders, and public servants — who were honored both on stage and earlier in the day during a private wake surfing experience hosted by Operation Wake Surf and Centurion Boats. The initiative provided these heroes with a much-needed escape and a chance to reconnect through the healing power of water and community.
The concert also helped raise funds and awareness for Operation Wake Surf, a nonprofit that uses water sports and peer mentorship to uplift those who serve and protect. The event continues Troy Gentry’s legacy of faith, service, and giving back through music — a mission deeply rooted in his Foundation’s motto: “Love God. Love Others.”
With powerful performances and a cause that touched every heart in the room, the Salute 2 Service concert proved music still has the power to heal, honor, and unite.
