Actor and comedy legend Eddie Murphy makes his first-ever appearance on The Jennifer
Hudson Show, reuniting with Jennifer nearly two decades later. The two reflect on
their iconic Oscars moment and Jennifer’s remarkable rise to EGOT status. Eddie
opens up about unreleased music collaborations with legends Michael Jackson and
B.B. King and shares his reaction to becoming in-laws with longtime friend Martin
Lawrence after their children’s surprise wedding. He also gives fans a behind-the-
scenes look at his return to SNL for its 50th anniversary special.

Later, actress Keke Palmer joins Eddie and Jennifer to chat about their new action-
comedy The Pickup. Keke recalls announcing her pregnancy on SNL, planning her son’s
epic Blippi-themed birthday bash, then opens up about her NAACP Entertainer of the
Year Award. Plus, Jennifer reveals she once turned down an opportunity to host SNL
right after Dreamgirls.

Then, Eddie talks about the future of the Shrek franchise and confirms that a Donkey
movie is officially in the works, sending Keke into full fan mode as she gushes
over his iconic performance in The Nutty Professor. The trio shares behind-the-scenes
laughs, nostalgic character throwbacks, and why Eddie still deserves an Oscar for
his epic roles.

Director Tim Story joins the conversation as the group dives deeper into The Pickup,
with Eddie opening up about returning to action films. Then, Keke reveals how Eddie
caught her off guard during a serious scene and talks about playing Pete Davidson’s
love interest!
