FC Dallas (9-12-6, 33 points) fell 3-2 to the Colorado Rapids (13-9-5, 44 points) tonight at Toyota Stadium. Forwards Logan Farrington and Petar Musa scored Dallas’ two goals.
BIG DAWG BARKS FIRST
Rookie forward Logan Farrington scored FC Dallas’ opening goal following a rebound from Sam Junqua’s shot in the sixth minute. Farrington has six goal contributions in the last six games with two goals and four assists. Farrington has contributed to goals in Dallas’ last three home games in MLS (2 goals, 1 assist).
THE MOOSE RETURNS
Forward Petar Musa scored in the 66th minute from a Sam Junqua assist to regain the lead at 2-1 for FC Dallas. It was Musa’s team-high 14th goal of the 2024 MLS season, making it the most prolific debut season for a player in FC Dallas history (Jason Kreis and Damian Alvarez each scored 13 in their first seasons, 1996 and 1998 respectively). Musa also has a goal in five-straight MLS games.
EL REGRESO DEL PIBE
Following 307 days of inactivity, midfielder Alan Velasco returned to action tonight after an ACL injury which sidelined him for the majority of the season. Velasco tore his ACL in his left knee on Oct. 30, 2023 in a playoff game against the Seattle Sounders. Velasco entered tonight’s match in the 79th minute.
FOURTEEN AND COUNTING
FC Dallas recorded its fourteenth consecutive sellout of the 2024 season. This marks the first time in club history that FC Dallas has sold out Toyota Stadium in fourteen consecutive home games of the regular season.
