The event had been based on a simple car meet, our expectancy was very low and we just wanted to create an small event just so we could have a moment to chill amongst some sick vehicles and great friends. But with several weeks to pass before the event ideas from all members just kept rolling in. The event had already been in the works for some time with plans of Lil Crazed showing up to shoot part of his video with the cars ,but we found ourselves adding to all categories. Soon we had a handful of talent, FREE food from Checkerbar Food & Liquor, FREE drinks from Powder Keg Custom Coatings, models, raffel prizes, award trophies, and even some FREE HID lighting kit giveaways thanks to HID Lighting and Accessories!
Leading up to the time of the event we had reached out to as many as 500 attendees in our Facebook invite, and 250 “maybes.” It caught like wildfire and our worries of “is this event going to be a bust?” went to “are we going to have enough room and food for all these people?!!” We were hoping that majority of the people were going to be car pooling. Now it was in the hands of the weather. The rain would have ruined us, undoubtedly.
The weather had been spotty the whole week, it was something that was chewing at the back of all our minds. We wanted sun, we dreaded the thought of not having it. There was simply no option, we NEEDED the sun. The morning of the show we were absolutely elated at the sight of the sun! We had been blessed with impeccable weather! Surely there was nothing stopping us now!
