Nearly a decade after Mood helped establish him as one of R&B’s defining voices of a new generation, Jacquees has officially opened a new chapter with the release of MOOD 2 via Cash Money Records.
Originally released as a mixtape in 2016, Mood became a fan favorite and played a pivotal role in shaping Jacquees’ signature sound—blending classic R&B influences with contemporary production, melodic songwriting, and undeniable charisma. Now, the Atlanta singer transforms that legacy into a full-length, 22-track album that reflects both his artistic growth and continued impact on modern R&B.
“10 years later… what started as a mixtape is finally an album. Some music never leaves you, it just waits for the right time. Thank y’all for keeping MOOD alive,” Jacquees shared.
MOOD 2 explores every stage of modern relationships, from romance and passion to heartbreak, healing, trust, and redemption. Tracks like “Proud Of You,” “Accuse Me,” “Time Will Tell,” and “Better Hands” showcase the vulnerability and emotional storytelling that have become hallmarks of Jacquees’ music. Alongside the album release, he also unveiled the official music video for “Accuse Me.”
The project bridges generations of R&B by honoring the artists who inspired him while continuing to push the genre forward. Jacquees reimagines classic records with fresh interpretations, including Jagged Edge’s “He Can’t Love U” on “He Kant” and Faith Evans’ beloved hit “Soon As I Get Home” on “Spend The Night.”
Fans have already embraced several standout singles leading into the album, including “He Kant,” produced by Polow Da Don, “Physical” featuring Tink, “Let You Go” with K Camp, and “Lick Back” featuring Cash Money icon Juvenile.
The album also boasts an impressive lineup of guest appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Kodak Black, BLXST, Rob49, NOBY, and more, further expanding the project’s dynamic blend of contemporary R&B and Southern hip-hop influences.
Since emerging on the national scene, Jacquees has built one of R&B’s strongest catalogs, earning multiple Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum certifications while amassing billions of streams worldwide. His resume includes double-platinum hits “B.E.D.” and “You,” as well as fan favorites like “At The Club,” “Come Thru,” “Your Peace” featuring Lil Baby, and “What’s On Your Mind” with K Camp.
Following the release of MOOD 2, Jacquees will reunite with fellow Atlanta artist K Camp for the “Us Over Dem Tour,” a seven-city run across the South and Midwest celebrating their new music, longtime friendship, and continued influence on R&B and hip-hop.
With MOOD 2, Jacquees proves that the project which helped define his career still has plenty of stories left to tell, delivering a confident, emotionally rich album that honors his past while embracing the future of R&B.
