Kirk Franklin is the man of the hour when it comes to contemporary gospel music. He has been around for almost thirty years and has worked with everyone from the gospel field to secular music and somehow he’s been able to still keep the holy word in his works. Friday, May 31, Kirk will be releasing his latest album called Long Live Love. Obviously, from the title, you can tell that he is still spreading the good word and crossing the bridge of the love for God. I was lucky enough to get a streaming copy of the album and when I tell you he hasn’t missed a beat. Take my word for it, he is still the man when it comes to great music.
There are no standout features from other artists, but I am sure if you check the background notes you’ll find some of the best of the best. From the beginning of the album with the song Favor followed up with the albums first single Love Theory, the album is another classic. There are only 10 songs on the album and while sometimes you may want more. I believe that these will fill your spirit and hold you until the next time. The album will be officially available everywhere this Friday at midnight. If you’re looking for a nourishing word, make sure to check it out by clicking here.
