Lady Buckeyes Dominate in Holiday Hoops Win

The Ohio State women’s basketball team delivered a dominant performance on Monday night, cruising to a 95–47 victory over Western Michigan as part of Holiday Hoops. The Buckeyes controlled the game from start to finish and never trailed.

Ohio State set the tone early, shooting efficiently and building a double-digit lead after the first quarter. A strong second quarter pushed the advantage past 25 points at halftime, and an explosive 18–0 run in the third quarter put the game completely out of reach. The Buckeyes closed the night with balanced scoring, strong defense, and an 11–2 run to seal the win.

Five Buckeyes scored in double figures, led by Elsa Lemmilä’s season-high 15 points, with contributions from Chance Gray, Jacy Sheldon Cambridge, Kitts, and Kennedy Cambridge. Ohio State also showcased its depth, as all players contributed on the boards and multiple players dished out assists.

With the win, the Buckeyes continue their strong season momentum as they prepare for a highly anticipated matchup against No. 4 UCLA.
