The Miami Beach Food Truck and Music Festival at North Shore Park brought together diverse culinary delights, friendly people, and comfortable surroundings – just the right ingredients to spice up an otherwise chilly Miami evening.
Envious joggers made their way through and around the lines, doing their best to ignore the tantalizing scents. No pity was shown by hungry patrons however, some of whom nodded approval to each other and smiled after taking their first bites.
Jefe’s Original Ms. Cheezious, Gastropod, Latin Burger, Dim Ssam a Gogo, Che Grill, Mushaboom, Moty’s Grill and for desert Firemen Derek FDPies (whos a real firemen by the way) were just a few of the more popular trucks at the event. Some trucks were in such demand, that it was no longer a question of what you wanted from their menu, but what they had left. There is a special guilty pleasure in hearing the chef from Gastropod shout that your short rib slider order is the last one. From behind come the sighs of disappointment; you say you’re sorry, but you really aren’t.
If you missed it this month, don’t be too hard on yourself. The next Miami Beach Food Truck and Music Festival will take place on April 24 and will continue of the fourth Wednesday of each month until September 25.
