Mixtape Buzz – Dose

Dose (previously Young Dose) hailing from Atlanta, GA, doesn’t sound like your average 21 yr old. Dose created a buzz with his hit single “Where They Do That At?!” that featured Rick Ross & fellow label mate Fabolous.

Now in the beginning of this year, Dose delivers a mixtape that is refreshing and different from his peers. “NO DAYS OFF,” is a solid piece of work, hosted by DJ Teknikz. Coming from a city that been putting out a lot of bubble gum music, Dose style is different and stands out amongst his peers. Three tracks into this 18 track mixtape, Dose delivers a potential hit with “Benjamins to Lean On”, which is followed by two decent tracks “Three 65.” (ft. Waka Flocka & Mo Pain) and “Movies.” Dose delivers a solid track for the ladies on “Roller Coaster Ride.” (ft. Future) He semi shows his age on the track “Karate” alongside Soulja Boy. The only downside to the mixtape are the tracks that he or the artist featured uses autotune on their verse and actually having Waka Flocka on a verse. In my opinion this mixtape was album quality and is actually worth buying.

Other potential hits on the album include “All Dat Ass.” (ft. Wale & Yung Joc) and “Aint Doin’ It Right.” (ft. Gucci Mane) I can see videos for the tracks “Benjamins to Lean On” “Three 65” “Movies” “All Dat Ass” and “Roller Coaster Ride”

I give this 3 ½ out of 5 stars – a definite RISE!!!
