I love any movie with Robert De Niro in it, and “The Family” definitely proved to be another addition to DiNero’s long list of great movies! “The Family” playfully tells a story about a modern day mafia family struggling to survive life in the witness protection. The movie tells a tale of an old school Italian family that gets relocated to a slow moving town in Normandy, France to hide from Mafia hit men trying to eliminate the family. Right from the beginning of the movie, you quickly see that even when trying to stay discreet and blend in, old habits die hard for the family. Michelle Pfeiffer was wonderful playing a feisty Italian Mom trying to keep her family safe and under the mafia radar. The comedic banter between characters kept me laughing the whole time! This was a great feel-good movie filled with laughs and a happy ending!
