New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium To Host 2026 World Cup Final

The venues for the 2026 World Cup have been officially confirmed by FIFA. MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will host the World Cup Final on July 19, 2026.

The journey for the U.S. men’s national team kicks off in Los Angeles, with their first match at SoFi Stadium on June 12. Mexico City will host the opening match of the tournament, marking Mexico’s third time hosting World Cup matches. Canada will make its World Cup debut with group play matches beginning in Toronto on June 12, with additional games in Vancouver.

FIFA has designated AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the Semifinals on July 14 and July 15, respectively. Quarterfinal matches will take place in Foxborough, Massachusetts, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, and Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on July 9, 10, and 11. The third-place game will be held at Hard Rock Stadium on July 18.

USMNT manager Gregg Berhalter expressed his excitement about the World Cup Final being held in New Jersey, stating, “It’s going to be a special World Cup. To have the final in New York, New Jersey is a dream come true for me. Being from that area, and I’m sure for most people from that area, it’s an area with a rich tradition of soccer and producing players.”
