No. 11 Vanderbilt wrapped up non conference play in emphatic fashion Monday night, rolling past New Haven 96–53 at Memorial Gymnasium to improve to 13–0 on the season. The Commodores took control early with a 16–2 opening run and never looked back, building a comfortable halftime lead and cruising to the finish.
Jalen Washington delivered a career-high 21 points on efficient shooting, while Tyler Tanner led all scorers with 23 points and added a well-rounded stat line. Devin McGlockton recorded Vanderbilt’s first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyler Harris continued his strong play with 16 points and eight boards. Vanderbilt’s defense shined as well, forcing turnovers, blocking shots at a season-high rate, and turning defense into offense throughout the night.
With the win, Vanderbilt finished non conference action undefeated for just the sixth time in program history and now turns its focus to SEC play.
