No. 7 Houston continued its dominant run Sunday night, rolling past Arizona State 103–73 at the Fertitta Center to extend its winning streak to 11 games. The Cougars delivered their most explosive offensive performance of the season, showcasing balance, efficiency, and defensive pressure from the opening tip.
Freshman guard Kingston Flemings led the way with 20 points and eight assists, while fellow freshman Chris Cenac Jr. matched his career high with 18 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists. Cenac sparked Houston early, scoring 12 first-half points as the Cougars built a commanding 56–29 halftime lead.
Houston overwhelmed Arizona State with a blistering start, opening the game on a 30–5 run while shooting 12-of-15 from the field. The Cougars finished the night shooting 56 percent overall and knocked down 12 three-pointers, posting their highest point total of the season.
Veteran guards Emanuel Sharp and Milos Uzan each added 16 points, and Joseph Tugler contributed 12 points and seven rebounds. Houston forced 17 turnovers and converted them into 31 points, while dominating the paint by a 44–22 margin.
Arizona State was led by Andrija Grbovic’s 14 points, with Anthony Johnson adding 12 and Bryce Ford and Noah Meeusen scoring 10 each. Despite solid free-throw shooting, the Sun Devils struggled to keep pace and dropped their sixth game in seven outings.
The victory marked Houston’s 15th straight home win and reinforced the Cougars’ status as the only Division I program with active home and road winning streaks of at least 15 games.
