Orlando City SC appeared headed for a home victory Saturday night before a dramatic
stoppage-time equalizer from New York City FC forced the Lions to settle for a 2-
2 draw at Inter&Co Stadium.

NYCFC struck first in the 18th minute when Alonso Martínez connected on a cross
from the left wing and finished from close range. Orlando responded in the 32nd
minute as Antoine Griezmann headed home a perfectly placed cross from Martín Ojeda
to level the match. The goal extended Griezmann’s streak of consecutive MLS matches
with a goal contribution to 11, just one shy of the club record. Ojeda also made
history with the assist, tying former captain Mauricio Pereyra for the most assists
across all competitions in Orlando City history with 47.

The Lions carried that momentum into the second half, taking a 2-1 lead in the 49th
minute. Iván Angulo sent a cross into the box, Vinícius Nogueira kept the play alive
with a header, and Ojeda delivered a clinical finish from the top of the area. The
goal marked the 50th of Ojeda’s Orlando City career across all competitions, making
him the first player in club history to reach that milestone.

Just when Orlando appeared ready to collect all three points, NYCFC’s Jonathan Shore
stunned the home crowd with a long-range equalizer in the 10th minute of second-
half stoppage time, securing a share of the points for the visitors.

The draw leaves Orlando City with a 12-13-6 record and 42 points as the Lions enter
the final stretch of the MLS regular season. Orlando now heads out on a two-game
road trip, beginning Wednesday, October 28, against Chicago Fire FC at Soldier Field
before traveling to face Charlotte FC on Saturday, October 31.
