I’d like to congratulate Social Media, African Americans in particular (I’ve been checking timelines for days, yes it’s us), for their disgusting, inhumane, derogatory post and comments referring to Rachael Jenteal. Most not based on fact or truth, and in most case lacking any critical analysis whatsoever. No matter how you feel about her “attitude”, grammar, weight, dark skin or disdain for the defense attorney representing the man who shot her friend, the bottom line is for 3 days you single handedly shifted all focus and energy from what’s important and found glory in the trivial. Bravo, Behavioral scientists have another case study in Mob Mentality (google the term) and media channels, bloggers and radio stations have more content loaded with distractions. Your anger would make all prophets from Christ to Mohammed proud. …And to think in the same week, no one got angry at the dismantling of the Voting Rights Act…
