Ride Along 2 follows the 2014 record-setting blockbuster of the original Ride Along ($154M box office) as the boys head off to South Florida for a new crime adventure. Movie goers will get a kick out of this comedy action, spoiler alert: The boys, James Payton (Ice Cube) & Ben Barber (Kevin Hart), reprise their roles & are challenged to trust each other as they try to capture drug supplier Antonio Pope (Benjamin Bratt) in Miami. Ben Barber is now set to marry Angela Payton (Tika Sumpter), sister of James Payton, making the crime fighting duo “brothers-in-law” indeed – the perfect match in the end to solve the mystery. Angela’s wedding planner Cori is played by the hilarious Sherri Shepherd, Ice Cube’s original partner in crime, Mayfield, is played by Tyrese (set in Atlanta) while his love-interest is the fiery Maya (Olivia Munn, X-Men), Kevin’s comedy sidekick & crime assist is A.J. (Ken Jeong, Hangover). Viewers should expect laughs throughout the film, the perfect comedy relief to kick off the new 2016 year.
