NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville SC extended its unbeaten streak in MLS play to 10 matches Wednesday night with a 1-0 victory over CF Montréal at GEODIS Park.
The win also set a club record with Nashville’s fifth consecutive league victory. The Boys in Gold improved to 8-0-2 over their last 10 MLS matches and strengthened their position near the top of the Supporters’ Shield race.
Sam Surridge scored the match’s only goal, converting a penalty kick for his team-leading 10th MLS goal of the season. The goal was also his fifth in five career appearances against Montréal.
Goalkeeper Brian Schwake recorded his second consecutive clean sheet and became the first goalkeeper in club history to post eight shutouts through Nashville’s first 16 MLS matches of a season.
Schwake has also been a key part of Nashville’s recent success, leading MLS with 12 victories while ranking among the league leaders in clean sheets.
Nashville remained unbeaten at home in league play, improving to 8-0-1 at GEODIS Park this season. The club has outscored opponents 26-9 at home.
The Boys in Gold will next travel to face Orlando City SC on Saturday, July 25, at Inter&Co Stadium as they reach the midpoint of the MLS regular season.
