This past weekend, the South Beach Seafood Festival provided a day filled with delicious food and fun on the beautiful beachside of Ocean drive! The perfect weather combined with endless combinations of delicious seafood delicacies proved to be the perfect combination to bring the people of Miami out to enjoy in an afternoon filled with seafood festivities! Miami Beach’s hottest restaurants were cooking up popular plates for people to enjoy! The dishes ranged in price and complexity, guaranteeing to satisfy everyone’s taste palates!
General admission tickets were sold which allowed patrons to purchase particular entrée’s that appealed to them, or for the true foodies a VIP package was available which inclusively provided tastes from all the restaurants participating in the seafood festival. We arrived at the festival mid-afternoon, and enjoyed hours of tasty treats! There was rockin live music, as well as a family friendly kiddie corner with bouncie houses and games for people of all ages to enjoy!
I am a huge fan of seafood, so it was no surprise that I had to try everything that was offered at least once! (and a few I couldn’t help but to go back for seconds!) Among my favorites were the light and tasty seared scallops with parsnip puree and short rib ragout from The Park Central Café, as well as thedecadent lobster ravioli provided by Cibo Wine Bar. There was a great turn out, so needless to say the lines got a bit lengthy at times, but the chef’s working the restaurant booths worked hard and provided amazingly quick service! Several popular executive chef’s put on wonderfully entertaining cooking exhibitions throughout the day. The crowd also enjoyed interactive demonstrations, as well as sample cocktails from Stoli, Bacardi, Herradura master mixologists. The SoBe Seafood Festival was a wonderful experience! People of all ages came and enjoyed a day of good eats and entertainment!
