The Arizona State Sun Devil women’s basketball team continued its strong season with a 68–45 victory over UCF on Wednesday night at Desert Financial Arena, improving to 16–1 overall and 3–1 in Big 12 play.
After a tightly contested first half, Arizona State took control after the break, delivering a remarkable second-half performance by shooting 67 percent from the field. The Sun Devils’ efficiency, particularly in the paint, proved decisive as they outscored the Knights 40–18 inside while maintaining a steady double-digit lead throughout the final stages.
UCF kept the game close early and limited Arizona State from beyond the arc, but the Sun Devils’ balanced offensive attack and defensive pressure allowed them to pull away in the third quarter and never look back. Arizona State’s strong execution on both ends sealed another impressive home victory during its West Coast stretch.
