Glitz & Girl power’s third annual Awards was held last night in downtown Miami at the prestigious Briza on the Bay. Women from all over the country were honored, including authors, musicians, activist and actresses. The highlight of the night was a heartfelt speech from honoree Lisa Raye. The award winning actress brought the audience to its feet as attendees left their seats and surrounded the stage.
A fresh face from Miami was also honored; Amara La Negra a talented singer who you may have seen on Love and Hip Hop Miami received and award which she dedicated to her mother. In all, over 200 beautiful women attended the GG awards, but there was also support from some great men including Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert, Flo Rida, and Ace Hood who attended to support his longtime girlfriend Shanice Sarratt.
