# The Groove Cruise LA

THE GROOVE CRUISE!

What a weekend! Beautiful people, breathtaking scenery, delicious food, ice cold
cocktails, and endless music are what set the scene for my Groove Cruise LA adventure!
Being new to the EDM music scene I was not sure what to expect, but The Groove Cruise
LA proved to be a wonderful and amazing experience! The Groove Cruise is a total
ship take over with thousands of music fans from around the world ready to dance
the day AND night away for 72 hours straight! The boat departed from Long Beach,
California Friday afternoon, and from the jump the party began literally not stopping
until we docked Monday morning! The worlds best DJ’s kept the crowds entertained
keeping the music bumping around the clock all weekend.

The first stop we made was to beautiful Catalina Island where everyone enjoyed a
bangin’ beachside concert were The Dirty Dutch [_DJ Chuckie_](http://djchuckie.com/)
rocked the crowd. The crystal clear water and cool ocean air made for the perfect
outdoor excursion! We snuck away from the dancing for a moment to check out the 
top of the mountains, and got wonderful skyview pictures of the island as well as
the thousands of Groove Cruisers who took over the beachside! Catalina was lovely,
and the party did not stop there! We loaded back onto the boat and continued the
party into the night. The cruise ship had tons of different themed night clubs throughout
the boat, where people of all varieties could find their spot to keep grooving throughout
the night. People dressed to theme each day with wild and crazy attire, and believe
me, the costumes were just as entertaining as the music!

The final stop was beautiful Ensenada, Mexico! From boat to venue, we were overwhelmed
with delicious food options and shopping! After stopping for taco’s and tequila,
we finally made it to the day’s concert venue. Sunday’s festivities were indoors,
with [_Markus Schulz_](http://www.markusschulz.com/) as he kept the Groove Cruiser’s
raging all afternoon! The final night back on the boat was the best night! New friends
and old partied into the late hours truly making the most of their final hours of
vacation.

I really enjoyed this experience; the boat was filled with young professionals who
all shared the passion for dance and music! The Groove Cruise was an amazing escape
from the boring every day routine, and was welcoming and entertaining to everyone,
even the newbies to the EDM music scene!!!!
