The Ludacris Foundation (TLF), Fund II Foundation (F2F), and College Park Council Member Dr. Jamelle McKenzie came together this Mother’s Day weekend to celebrate and honor mothers and women throughout the Metro Atlanta community.
Held at the Georgia International Convention Center, the special event created a meaningful space for mothers and families to feel appreciated, supported, and connected. More than 150 families were provided access to maternal wellness resources, community partners, and support services dedicated to strengthening families year-round.
The event highlighted the importance of recognizing the love, sacrifices, and care that mothers bring to their families and communities every day.
“A day of recognition that women and mothers are the backbone of our families, communities, and society at large,” shared Roberta Shields, President of The Ludacris Foundation.
“At a time when Georgia continues to face serious maternal health challenges, especially for Black women, partnerships like this are both meaningful and necessary.”
The event served as both a celebration and a reminder of the continued need to support maternal health, wellness, and community connection beyond Mother’s Day.
