President Donald Trump drew online criticism after twice commenting on rapper Nicki
Minaj’s physical appearance during a speech at a Rose Garden event, according to
reports.

Trump made the remarks at what was described as a Club event held at the White House
Rose Garden, singling out Minaj’s looks on two separate occasions during his address.
The comments prompted backlash on social media, with many critics arguing the remarks
were inappropriate and reductive.

Minaj was present at the event. No statement from the rapper regarding Trump’s comments
was immediately available.
