A few weeks ago, a new artist by the name of **Iggy Azalea** came to our attention.
We were immediately struck by a trio of her songs, “[D.R.U.G.S](http://www.complex.com/music/2011/09/video-iggy-azalea-drugs).,”
her [“Two Times” freestyle](http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3D2yNq33CDRAw)(
and its controversial video), and of course, the ever so catchy “[PU$$Y](http://www.complex.com/music/2011/09/video-iggy-azalea-drugs).”
Next thing you know, we were [following her on Twitter](http://twitter.com/#%21/IGGYAZALEA)
and on the lookout for her mixtape, _Ignorant Art_, which dropped earlier this week
and [you can download here](http://www.complex.com/music/2011/09/mixtape-iggy-azalea-ignorant-art).

A number of things stuck out about Iggy right away. For one, she’s _gorgeous_—the
girl’s got the looks of a supermodel. Two, she spits raunchy raps like a young Foxy,
but her flow is like a cross between Yelawolf going doubletime and one of Nicki
Minaj’s British alter-egos. Oh, and she’s also a white girl—just like [**Complex** covergirl **Kreayshawn**](http://www.complex.com/music/2011/09/kreayshawn-complex-cover-october-november-2011-issue)!

Needless to say, we were immediately intrigued by the 21-year-old Australian born
rapper. But thanks to a considerable amount of misinformation about her on the Internet,
we went straight to the source and got on the horn with her to find out, **Who Is
Iggy Azalea?**

The still unsigned Los Angeles resident told us about her lonely childhood, her
obsessions with **Tupac** and **Grace Kelly**, and how she came to the United States
and tried to be a model (until an agency told her she was too thick). Plus, she
took time out to talk about the comparisons between her and Kreayshawn, and  breaks
down why we’ve seen such a sudden influx of white rappers.
