UCF Women’s Basketball dropped its second consecutive ranked contest Saturday afternoon, falling 67–50 to No. 9 TCU at Addition Financial Arena.
Despite a stronger second-half performance, the Knights were unable to overcome an early deficit fueled by TCU’s perimeter shooting. The Horned Frogs connected on six three-pointers in the opening half to build a sizable halftime advantage. UCF took care of the ball, committing a season-low nine turnovers, and was paced offensively by Mahogany Chandler-Robert, who recorded a career-high 17 points.
UCF’s defense stood tall early against one of the nation’s most potent offenses, forcing two turnovers and holding TCU to 2-for-7 shooting in the opening five minutes. While the Knights protected the paint, TCU found its rhythm from long range, knocking down three triples to take a 16–9 lead into the first media timeout.
Chandler-Robert provided an early spark for the Knights, scoring seven points in the opening quarter, including her fourth three-pointer of the season. Out of the timeout, TCU went on a 9–0 run before Khyala Ngodu ended the drought with a tough finish at the rim. The Horned Frogs continued to stretch the floor with outside shooting, opening lanes inside and extending their lead.
A pull-up jumper from Jaccoriah Bracey at the halftime buzzer capped the scoring, sending UCF into the break trailing 37–16.
The Knights responded with their best stretch of the game in the third quarter, shooting 50 percent from the field while holding TCU scoreless from beyond the arc. UCF outscored the Horned Frogs by five in the frame, but the gap remained significant as the Knights entered the fourth quarter down 48–32.
Both teams battled in the paint over the final 10 minutes, with UCF continuing to chip away, but TCU maintained control down the stretch to secure the road victory.
