Warner Bros. Officially Announces ‘Beetlejuice 2’

Warner Bros. has officially unveiled the release date and title for the highly anticipated sequel to Beetlejuice, confirming earlier speculations. The announcement, made across various social media platforms, includes a new poster featuring a foreboding September 2024 release date and the title “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”

Accompanying the poster is a caption inviting audiences to dare to repeat the iconic phrase, signaling the return of the beloved characters. The sequel will reunite the original cast, including Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, alongside new additions Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, and Justin Theroux.

Tim Burton, the director of the original 1988 film, will once again helm the sequel in collaboration with Brad Pitt’s Plan B. While the plot details remain shrouded in mystery, reports suggest that Ortega will portray Ryder’s character’s daughter, with Dafoe playing an underworld cop.

Al Gough and Miles Millar, known for their work on “Wednesday” with Ortega, are penning the screenplay for the sequel. Stay tuned for further updates on this eagerly awaited continuation of the Beetlejuice saga.
