On Friday, November 8, 2024, WBLS, one of the most iconic radio stations in the country, celebrated its 50th anniversary with an unforgettable musical experience at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The historic event, DJ Cassidy’s Pass The Mic Live!, showcased five decades of R&B and Hip-Hop legends, bringing together an impressive lineup of artists who have defined the genres over the years.
The night was filled with electrifying performances by some of the biggest names in music, including Charlie Wilson, Chaka Khan, Bobby Brown, SWV, Keyshia Cole, Jaheim, Anthony Hamilton, and October London, as well as the legendary Hezekiah Walker, The Furious Five, Roxanne Shante, Nice & Smooth, and many more.
