The 2026 FIFA World Cup Draw took center stage at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., launching the first-ever 48-team World Cup—the largest and most ambitious tournament in FIFA history. Snow fell outside the nation’s capital while stars, athletes, and world leaders walked the red carpet, setting an unforgettable tone for the event.
Hosts Eli Manning, Heidi Klum, Kevin Hart, and Danny Ramirez welcomed guests as the hall glowed in deep blue. President Donald J. Trump arrived with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, joining Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney for the ceremony.
The night featured powerful performances, including Andrea Bocelli, whose ovation-filled appearance drew emotional applause, and a debut of the new FIFA anthem “Desire” performed by Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger.
In a historic moment, FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented the first-ever “FIFA Peace Prize – Football Unites the World” to President Donald J. Trump, honoring extraordinary actions taken in the name of global peace.
The official draw followed, led by the three host-nation leaders:
Group A: Mexico
Group B: Canada
Group D: United States
The remaining groups—C, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L—will be drawn next.
The star power continued as Lauryn Hill took the stage with iconic performances of “Lost Ones” and “Doo Wop (That Thing).” Sporting legends then stepped forward to draw the tournament pots:
Tom Brady from Pot 1
Shaquille O’Neal from Pot 2
Aaron Judge from Pot 3
With matches set for June 11 to July 19, 2026, across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, this World Cup is expected to break every attendance record ever set.
A night of unity, sport, and global celebration—the road to 2026 has officially begun.
