Miami’s hidden gem, The Broken Shaker, held the Manhattan Experience Cocktail Challenge. The perfect weather and intimate bar setting allowed for a delightful evening! Guest sipped on premium cocktails and snacked on delicious hors d’oeuvres while enjoying an exciting show down for the best Manhattan cocktail creation in Miami. Four elite judges critiqued the cocktails to determine to overall winner, but I think everyone can agree when I say all the competitors put on a great show and produced exceptional cocktails! The Broken Shakers’ own Virginia King took the overall win with her cocktail creation “Looking at me like you don’t want me to go”! The competition which is sponsored by Woodford Reserve bourbon and Esquire magazine is being held nationwide. Cocktails are judged on five criteria: cocktail name, creativity, ingredients, presentation, and of course taste! The winning mixologists will showcase their cocktails at the Manhattan Experience final showing in New York City.
