El jueves 22 de julio, Warner Music Latin se juntó con Triller para presentar una inolvidable fiesta después los Premios Juventud para celebrar el lanzamiento del cuarto álbum de Zion y Lennox, El Sistema. El quién es quién de la música latina llegó a EME, un elegante club nocturno latino en el corazón de Miami Beach alrededor de las 11 pm, justamente después de los Premios Juventud. La discoteca cuenta con cuatro pisos de espacio, cada piso sirviendo un elemento diferente del evento de esa noche.
En el primer piso, los invitados fueron recibidos y debidamente anillados, y luego subieron al segundo piso que sirvió como una sala de prensa, donde artistas, productores e influencers tomaron fotos oficiales y respondieron preguntas relacionadas con el Álbum, y compartieron sus anécdotas de los Premios Juventud. El tercer piso sirvió como el corazón de la noche, donde los invitados se reunieron en la pista de baile y alrededor de mesas, mientras los bartenders preparaban cócteles y las camareras de cócteles sacaban botellas con caras sonrientes. Aquí, los invitados que incluían artistas, productores, video vixens, ejecutivos de la música e influencers por igual de todo el país, pasaron la noche bailando sus canciones y mashups de reggaeton favoritos, mientras intercambiaban sus redes sociales y mostraban su afiliación al álbum y su contribución a ella.
Siempre disfruto de eventos como este en Miami, especialmente los fines de semana de grandes premios porque atrae a creativos de todos los rincones del país y entonces terminas conociendo personas de un nicho específico. Esto no sería posible de tal manera íntima sino por un evento cuidadosamente curado por Warner Music Latin como este. El cuarto piso del evento sirvió como un escenario aún más íntimo para los artistas y creativos que pudieron mirar a los invitados bailando abajo desde un amplio balcón sobre la pista de baile. La música de la noche fue verdaderamente exclusivamente reggaetón, donde los invitados perriaron toda la noche no solo con los temas más nuevos del género, sino también con los clásicos favoritos que ayudaron a construir la escena de la música latina urbana a finales de los años 90 y a principios del milenio. Un movimiento en el que Zion y Lennox estuvieron muy a la vanguardia. Poco después de la 1 de la madrugada, Zion y Lennox llegaron a EME y se dirigieron a la sala de prensa donde respondieron preguntas de los periodistas y compartieron anécdotas sobre la creación de su nuevo disco El Sistema. Luego se dirigieron al cuarto piso para pasar el rato con sus amigos artistas que esperaban ansiosamente su llegada para felicitarlos y celebrar con ellos.
Aproximadamente a las 2:00 am, Zion bajó al tercer piso para continuar saludando a los invitados, luego tomó un micrófono y comenzó un mini concierto de sus grandes éxitos, desde Doncella, Fantasma, Otra Vez, Yo Voy y otras favoritas y concluyó con algunas canciones del álbum más reciente. Zion se quedó hasta casi el final de la noche (alrededor de las 4 am) riendo, saludando, bailando y felizmente tomando fotos con los invitados. Se dirigió emocionado a la multitud alrededor de las 3:30 am, agradeciéndoles por sus contribuciones al movimiento de La Música Urbana y por apoyarlos a lo largo de sus 20 años de carrera. La noche realmente se sintió como una celebración, y se sintió más como una fiesta entre amigos íntimos, en lugar de una noche tradicional de la industria. Felicitaciones a Triller y a Warner Music por una noche tan divertida y feliz.
On Thursday, July 22, Warner Music Latin teamed up with Triller to host an unforgettable Premios Juventud After Party and Album Release for Zion y Lennox, celebrating the release of their fourth studio album, El Sistema. The who’s who of latin music piled into EME, a posh latin nightclub on 18th street and Collins in the heart of Miami Beach at about 11 pm, following the Premios Juventud awards. The nightclub boasts four floors of space, each floor comprising a different element of the event that night.
On the first floor, guests were greeted and properly banded, and then sent upstairs to the second floor which served as a press room where artists, producers, and influencers took official photos and answered questions pertaining to the Album, and shared their anecdotes from Premios Juventud. The third floor served as the heart of the night, where guests dressed to the nine, gathered on the dance floor and around tables, as bartenders prepared premium cocktails and cocktail waitresses brought out bottles with smiling faces. Here, guests which included Artists, Producers, Video Vixens, Music Executives, and Influencers alike, from all over the country spent the night dancing to their favorite reggaeton songs and mashups, while exchanging their social media and showing off their affiliation to the album and their contribution to it.
I always enjoy events like this in Miami, especially on big award weekends because it attracts creatives from every corner of the country; you end up having people from a specific niche connecting closely with each other. Something that would not have been able to happen in such an intimate setting without a carefully curated event like this one. The fourth floor of the event served as an even more intimate setting for artists and creatives who were able to look down at the guests dancing below from an expansive balcony above the dancefloor. The music of the night was truly exclusively Reggaeton, where guests danced the night away to not only the newests bangers in the genre, but also the classic favorites that helped build the urban latin music scene in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. A movement that Zion Y Lennox were very much at the forefront of.
A little after 1 am, Zion Y Lennox arrived at EME and headed to the press room where they answered questions from journalists and shared relevant anecdotes regarding the creation of their new album. They then made their way to the fourth floor to hang out with their artist friends who eagerly awaited their arrival to congratulate and celebrate with them. At about 2:00 am Zion made his way down to the third floor to continue greeting guests, and to everyone’s delight picked up a mic and began a mini concert of their greatest hits from Doncella, to Fantasma, to Otra Vez, Yo Voy, among others and concluded with a few songs from the newest album. Zion stayed until nearly the end of the night (around 4 am) laughing, greeting, dancing, and happily taking photos with guests. He emotionally addressed the crowd at around 3;30 am, thanking them for their contributions to La Musica Urbana movement, and for supporting them throughout their 20 year career. The night truly felt like a celebration, and felt more like a party amongst intimate friends, rather than a traditional industry night. Kudos to Triller and Warner music for such a fun and happy night.
